As far back as I can remember, I have been in love with the arts. There are videos of me, at three years old, begging my mother to hand over the video camera and let me have “my turn.” There are tapes upon tapes of “homemade” music videos, skits, and stories created by myself and my friends.
In addition to film, I have always had a camera by my side. Throughout high school, I used my spare time and (oftentimes) lunch break to develop pictures in the dark room. Since then, I have moved onto digital SLR cameras, utilizing the digital darkroom, “Photoshop.”
I took numerous photo classes in high schoool, including AP 2D Art. After graduating with honors, I attended Florida State University in the fall of 2008 where I studied Media Production. I joined Kappa Delta sorority where I was involved with several philanthropic activities. After making the Dean’s List during my fall semester, I transferred back to Annapolis to continue my studies at home.
Here, I majored in Film Studies at Anne Arundel Community College. I received high marks on each of my video projects and continued to do independent projects outside of school. One of my projects was selected to be shown at the first annual AACC Film Festival.
After completing my studies at AACC, I transferred into UMUC, an online university affiliated with the University of Maryland. After two semesters of missing actually sitting in a class room, I decided it’d be best to finish up my senior year of schooling at a different institution. I commuted to Towson for a year until finally finishing up my undergrad classes this December! Although I finished school in December, I will not be graduating until May 2013.
I currently reside in Charlotte, North Carolina, but I will be coming back to the Annapolis area about once a month for weddings and portraits! I am hoping to move back to Annapolis sometime in 2014!
